Johannesburg - "City of Gold"
Johannesburg is the biggest and most powerful city in South Africa.
Built after the discovery of gold, the city has become the financial
hub of the country and although not the most scenic of cities, it
is definitely a must-see on every tourist's itinerary. The best
way to view all the attractions would be to hire a car and drive
around - the roads are in excellent condition and the highlights
are all within easy driving distance.
